The BYD Seal U is available with two drivetrains: as a pure electric car (EV) and as a plug-in hybrid (DM-i) that combines a combustion engine with electric drive. From the outside both look almost the same – but there are a few things to keep in mind with accessories.
What is the same for both
The cabin and trunk of the EV and DM-i are largely identical. Floor mats, trunk mat, sunshade and screen protector therefore usually fit both versions. Still, always check model and year in the product description.
The big difference: the frunk
A pure electric car has no combustion engine at the front – which leaves room for extra storage, the so-called frunk (front trunk). In the DM-i, the engine sits there. A frunk box therefore fits only the Seal U EV.
Check year and equipment
Manufacturers update models regularly. Displays, center console and storage can change between model years. If you are unsure: send us your year and version before buying and we will tell you whether it fits.
Left- or right-hand drive?
In Austria, Germany and almost all of Europe we drive left-hand-drive cars. For floor mats this is crucial – make sure they are made for left-hand drive (LHD).
