In winter, every time we get in we bring snow, slush and road salt into the car. The salt soaks into the carpet, leaves white marks and can cause odors over time. With a few simple steps your BYD Seal U stays clean through the cold season.
1. Floor mats with raised edges
Regular textile mats soak up water and let it run onto the carpet. 3D TPE mats have raised edges that keep water and dirt inside the mat. To clean, simply take them out, rinse, let them dry – done.
2. Don't forget the trunk
Snow shovel, wet jackets, shopping bags or the dog after a walk: the trunk takes a lot in winter. A custom-fit trunk mat protects the floor and is just as easy to clean as the floor mats.
3. Removing salt stains properly
If there are already white salt stains in the carpet, lukewarm water with a little vinegar helps: dab it on, let it work briefly, blot with a clean cloth and let it dry well. Then vacuum thoroughly.
4. Store the charging cable cleanly
A wet, dirty charging cable does not belong in the cabin. In the Seal U EV the front trunk (frunk) is ideal – ideally in its own box so nothing slides around.
